Advocacy Program
The Advocacy Program provides support and representation to protect the rights of Ukrainian refugees and immigrants in Michigan and to ensure fair access to essential services. Our work focuses on addressing systemic barriers, amplifying community voices, and supporting individuals and families as they navigate complex institutional systems.

We advocate for dignity, equity, and access—helping community members understand their rights and connect with the resources they are entitled to.
Past & Foundational Advocacy Efforts
UASMI has a history of standing alongside the Ukrainian community during moments of uncertainty and transition. Through collaboration with local organizations, service providers, and community leaders, we have supported individuals facing challenges related to access, documentation, and representation.

These early advocacy efforts laid the groundwork for building trust, strengthening community awareness, and ensuring that Ukrainian voices are heard within local systems.
